1. Acceptance
By requesting an estimate, booking service, paying an invoice, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.
2. Services & Estimates
- Estimates are based on conditions observed during our visit or on customer-provided photos.
- Hidden conditions (rot, rocks, utilities, weather, or access issues) may affect pricing. We’ll always communicate and approve any price changes before work continues.
3. Scheduling & Access
- You agree to provide safe access to the job site and keep people and pets clear while work is performed.
- We may reschedule in unsafe weather or if site conditions prevent safe work.
4. Utilities & Site Conditions
- Customers are responsible for identifying private utilities, irrigation, septic, or underground features not marked by 811.
- We contact 811 for public utility locates when required.
5. Debris, Logs & Stump Grindings
- Our standard service includes felling, lowering, and cleanup as noted in your estimate.
- Unless otherwise agreed, wood and debris become our property for removal.
- If you request firewood left onsite, it will be left in a safe, accessible location.
- Stump grinding includes grinding to the stated depth; grading, re-sodding, or additional cleanup are separate services unless specified.
6. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion unless stated otherwise.
- We accept the payment methods shown on our invoices.
- Late balances may incur reasonable late fees or interest as allowed by law.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Please give at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Short-notice cancellations may incur a fee to cover scheduled crew time.
8. Photos & Marketing
We may take before/after photos for documentation and training. With your consent, non-identifying images may be used for marketing.
9. Warranty & Limitations
We guarantee our workmanship at the time of service. Because trees are living organisms, we cannot guarantee long-term health, growth, or storm resistance. Liability is limited to the cost of services rendered, to the extent permitted by Oregon law.
10. Insurance & Licensing
Ax To Grind Tree Care carries proper insurance and licensing. Certificates available upon request.
11. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or nonperformance caused by factors beyond our control (weather, emergencies, or third-party delays).
12. Mobile Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS messages related to estimates, scheduling, and service updates.
- Opt-In: You can opt in by requesting a quote, scheduling service, submitting a website form, or verbally giving permission. Consent is not required to purchase.
- Frequency: Message frequency varies by job or inquiry.
- Fees: Message and data rates may apply.

13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes shall be handled in Oregon courts. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining sections remain in effect.
